Scanning
For high stakes, large scale litigation, the word is digital. You cannot possibly hope to manage a multi-million-page document case without a sophisticated digital imaging and indexing system.
That’s why Landmark Legal offers state-of-the-art digital solutions for all of the challenges you may face in litigation.
High Volume Black & White Scanning
Our state-of-the-art imaging capabilities allow us to perform high volume and complex black and white scanning jobs to your exacting specifications. As a result of our extensive experience in this area, we have developed a standard workflow process that helps us to ensure that each job we do is right the first time.
High Volume Color Scanning
In an increasing number of cases, such as patent, trademark, intellectual property and other high stakes, “bet the company” litigation, the ability to produce high resolution color images can often make the difference between success and disaster. Whether your job involves paper, transparencies, or film, our state-of-the-art color scanning equipment allows us to produce color scans with the highest standards of color fidelity available under current technology.
Large Format Scanning
No scanning job is too large for us. We use some of the most sophisticated large format drum scanners available, allowing us to produce high resolution scans of oversized and irregular documents, such as newspapers, posters, blueprints, signs, plans, and other hard to handle documents.
Electronic Bates Labeling
When you need even more flexibility than you can get with paper bates labeling, consider electronic bates labeling. Electronic bates labeling eliminates the labor intensive and expensive task of applying bates number stickers to your documents. With electronic bates labeling, once your documents are electronically scanned and catalogued into our system, our electronic bates labeling software generates laser quality bates numbers on your documents.
Electronic CD Binders
When your shelves are filled with unlabelled binders stuffed with unidentified CDs, DVDs, and other media, it’s time for electronic binders. This total electronic data management system allows us to migrate all of your optically saved data into one convenient electronic location, which can then be made available to authorized users over a network, permitting easy data sharing, searching and other data processing.
Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
OCR is a quick and reasonably priced way to digitize a large document case. In OCR, imaged documents are converted into electronic text files that can be viewed, edited, annotated, redacted and searched. We have sophisticated OCR technology, and therefore have an extremely high accuracy rate, even with damaged or hard to read original documents. Of course, no OCR system is perfect, so we use experienced OCR technicians to edit and clean up your files before we produce them to you.
Export Images and Data
Once you’re ready to begin your actual document production, we can handle the production of your digitized documents by electronically exporting your data and images to you and to other specified recipients. We use a secure FTP server through which we can instantly produce your digital documents anywhere on the Internet.
Disk Media Duplication and Conversion
If you need to make copies of CDs and DVDs, we can provide both duplication and replication services. For smaller jobs, disc duplication allows us to burn your data onto high quality optical media. For larger jobs, replication is the best solution and involves the actual manufacturing of additional discs from a master, with Landmark providing all specified packaging and labeling.
Video Conversion
We have extensive video conversion capabilities, permitting the conversion of VHS tapes to optical storage media, including all DVD and CD recordable formats. We also provide the necessary packaging and labeling for your converted files, such as printed CD/DVD sleeves and jewel case inserts.
FTP Data Export
Once you’re ready to begin your actual document production, we can handle the production of your digitized documents by electronically exporting your data and images to you and other specified recipients. We use a secure FTP server through which we can instantly produce your digital documents anywhere on the Internet.
Onsite Scanning Production
When you compare the return on investment (ROI) you receive from your using your in house production staff for scanning (who often struggle with high volume, large format, or sophisticated color scanning jobs) to the ROI you’ll achieve from using an expert, you’ll see there’s no comparison. When you outsource your scanning function to us, we’ll provide you with an experienced document management team trained in whatever equipment you have on your premises, and we’ll take care of all of the aspects of paying and supervising these employees, leaving you to focus on your business.
